The small NSW communities of Wee Jasper and Cavan annually face off in a friendly cricket match held in a paddock makes for a great day out.

Having grown up in a small farming community similar to this one, I love watching to kids and remembering the fun we used to have at local gatherings such as this.

There's the 'Fashion on the Field'... or not!

Local characters come out with their friendly competitiveness (and the lure of a few bevvies)...

And the big guns are saved until last!

But it's all in the name of bringing communities together.

Although I hear a rumor that you started the day short on players and that Cavan allowed you to borrow their best....
